Send photos via FTP without a pro camera (PhotoSync)
Use the PhotoSync app on smartphone or tablet to send photos to an FTP gallery. Ideal without a DSLR or mirrorless camera.
Download PhotoSync
PhotoSync is an app that transfers photos and videos from your phone or tablet to an FTP server. Ideal if you don’t have a pro camera with built‑in FTP (DSLR or mirrorless): you shoot with your smartphone or import photos to it, then send them to your Snapdelivr gallery via FTP.
- iOS: search for “PhotoSync” on the App Store (Touchbyte GmbH).
Set up the FTP connection to your gallery
- Get the FTP settings for your gallery from the Snapdelivr dashboard (gallery tab: server, port, username, password, path).
- In PhotoSync, go to Settings / Configure, then add an FTP destination (or “FTP-Server” depending on version).
- Enter your gallery details:
- Server (host): the address from the dashboard
- Port: usually 21 (FTP) or 990 (FTPS for secure mode)
- Username and password: those of the gallery
- Directory / path: the path shown in the dashboard for that gallery
- If available, enable passive mode (our server uses it).
- Save the connection, then from PhotoSync’s main screen select the photos to send and choose this FTP destination. Files will be sent directly to your Snapdelivr gallery.
PhotoSync supports standard FTP as well as FTPS and SFTP. Use the same connection type (FTP or FTPS) as indicated in your gallery settings.
For more details, see the official PhotoSync support (photosync-app.com), “FTP” or “Camera / NAS” section.
